There’s a new attraction in South Korea that’s currently making on social media—the PURPLE WONDER ISLAND!!!
Geoje Maengjongjuk Bamboo Theme Park, South Korea
Ridding the monorail from POW camp up to the top of the mountain “Gyerong-san”, worth the ride!
Geoje Prisoner of War (POW) camp was built to hold prisoners during the Korean War. Today you can ride a Monorail from the POW camp to the mountaintop (Gyerongsan Mountain) for an amazing view!
Okpo traditional market but named the Okpo International Market!
As far as I know, the Gehyeon Traditional Market (KR: 거제고현시장) is the biggest market in Geoje Island. There is an Okpo Traditional Market but it’s much smaller.
Jeoguhang port (KR: 저구항) is surrounded by hydrangea with an ocean view next to the famous “Myeongsa Beach”!!!
Manhwapangcho (KR: 만화방초), the Secret Garden has a variety of flowers and greenery, famous for hydrangeas blooming between June- July.
Mundong Pokpo Waterfall (Kr:문동 폭포) is an easy hike and a beautiful waterfall, nice day out with kids, family, and friends!

Half-day trip to Jungang Traditional market (통영 중앙시장) and Dongpirang Mural village (동피랑마을) in Tongyeong City.
At the Southern end of Geoje Island, Mangsan Mountain is an easy hike and gives you a beautiful view of the sea and surrounding islands!
The abstract Sculpture park is a nice walk, but continuing to the lighthouse gives you a great view!
Our visit to Windy Hill, an ocean cliffside hill with a windmill on top with a quick stop for a hotdog at Wind at Baram Hotdog.
