We’ve been fully vaccinated of “Moderna” since April 19, 2021.
<ภาษาไทย> After we returned to USA from Soun Korea (3/9/2021), The US has started Covid-19 vaccines for adults 65 years and older, health care workers, skilled nursing, and long-term care facility residents.
So I wasn’t really ready for the vaccines on that day!
Both the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccines require two shots: a priming dose, followed by a booster shot. The interval between Moderna doses is 28 days; for the Pfizer vaccine, it’s 21 days.
The Moderna vaccine was 94.1% effective at preventing symptomatic Covid-19 after the second dose. The vaccine’s efficacy appeared to be slightly lower in people 65 and older…
Any Side Effects After Getting a COVID-19 Vaccine?
*Just FYI, I started the Period a week after the 2nd dose, I was extremely headache for 7 days before and during the period. I can tell it’s not normal for me.
So…we’re feeling only sore arm after vaccines, REALLY!
Some tips before going to get Covid-19 Vaccine…
-
- Wear a nice and comfortable top, short sleeve is easy to get the shot in the upper arm muscle.
- For long hair women, we should wash our hair before going to get the vaccine, after I got the vaccine I couldn’t even reach my hand over my head!
- Get vaccine to the inactive arm
- Drink more water!
- Try not to get the vaccines on the same day for the whole family! In case someone is sick, other members can help!
Talk to your doctor about taking over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin, or antihistamines, for any pain and discomfort you may experience after getting vaccinated
“The risk of COVID seems to outweigh the risk of the vaccine, as far as we know right now,” said Dr. Michael Beninati
