Incredible Show at Siam Niramit

When you visit Bangkok, this is a fun activity to do in the evening.

The Thai cultural show, is good for all ages!

Even if you think a “cultural” show isn’t for you, this is on my must see list at least once!!! You can see in Bangkok or in Phuket as it’s the same company!

But the one in Bangkok, is located in the centre of city. To avoid the traffic take the MRT (Subway) to Thailand Cultural Centre Station. There is free shuttle service from/to the subway station every 15minutes.

Siam Niramit is a state-of-the-art 2000-seat theatre open every day. There are 2 kinds of admission, show only or show with dinner. The tickets are 1550 Baht and 1650 baht.

The show starts at 8 PM (2000), but if you buy the show with dinner, you should get there about 5:30 (1730). If you arrive early there are other attractions you can see before the show time.

These attractions include, a Thai village recreated with agricultural fields, barns, batik printing, and there is a boat ride in a manmade pond. It’s a nice ride on a Thai boat!

Or you can try some traditional Thai food that they make from the Thai houses!

There is a Thai dance in the courtyard before the main show where you could join in! That’s fun. You can also meet the actors before the show, and get to know them…

You will see amazing elephants walking/dancing on stage with so many performers later.

Once it’s a show time, you will be called to the theatre. But you have to deposit your cameras (IPADS too) and collect back after show. It’s easy and not complicated!! Smartphones are allowed…but no pictures, just enjoy the show!!!

The show features over 100 performers, lavish costumes and stunning set designs. It’s about 80 minutes show (might be a little late for kids but it’s fun if they can stay up).

The mega stage show offers a brief history of Thailand’s different regions followed by Thai festivals. See how different cultures between Thais, North, I-sarn, Center and South of Thailand. They are all neat and uniquely different.

Did I mention the special effects? Is it really raining inside, is there a swimming pool in that theater???…can you swim in there??? The “raining” scene really impressed me.

There are some comedians – to make you laugh, and NOT boring!!!

I give this show two thumbs up for all those involved in this magnificent production, including the elephants, goats and roosters – they are LIVE and REAL!!!

After the show, some of the performances will come to say good bye and be around the courtyard. You can take pictures with them then!

Well, the show will be the same if you would like to visit next time.
I’ve been there for 3 times in one year. No doubt, I loved it!!!
